Core concepts
Deals, ladders, take profit, stop loss, hedges and where orders live.
Deal
One position opened (or picked up) by one bot on one account and market. A deal records only what the venue confirms filled. When it opens, the deal freezes its own ladder, sizing and exits. Editing the bot later changes new deals only; edit an open deal in its Details or the Terminal.
Base order
The opening trade, in dollars or % of balance (converted to dollars once, at open). It is position size, not margin: $200 at 10× uses about $20 of margin. Leverage changes margin and liquidation price, not profit per 1% move.
The ladder and exits do not start until this order has actually filled on the exchange. The app records only the quantity and price the exchange confirms as filled.
DCA ladder
Extra orders that add to a losing position. Distances are measured from the original entry and never move. Levels fill on touch, with no cooldown. Your worst case is the base order plus every level.
Take profit
Measured from the average entry and re-placed after every fill. Fixed % rests a reduce-only limit on the exchange; a TP ladder rests one order per step. A trailing take profit arms at its activation level and then rides as the deal's stop. The optional funding-adjusted take profit moves the target only to cover net funding paid; it is never nearer than the plain target.
Stop loss
Off unless you switch it on. Offset from the initial entry, the current average entry, or your account balance (a dollar loss). It rests on the exchange as a reduce-only stop on every supported exchange, and the app also watches it. It falls back to app-watched only when the exchange has no free slot, the position is below the exchange minimum, or the exchange refuses it. While a hedge is open, the hedge owns the exit.
Hedge, tranche, paired take profit
The Hedge Bot opens opposite-side tranches at distances from the current average entry. Size % is the total hedge to hold at that level. While a hedge is open, the paired take profit closes both sides when the combined result reaches the target.
Market limits
Accounts → Market limits: Max deals, Max long, Max short and Margin used, shared by the Liq Scalper, Optimized Liq and TV Signal bots on that market. The lower of the bot and market cap wins. A cap left blank or set to 0 means no cap, not “no deals”; to stop new entries, pause the bot with ⏸ Pause in My Bots.
Where orders live
| Lives on | Works when the app is down? |
|---|---|
| The exchange (resting TP, stop, DCA limits) | Yes |
| The app (timed DCAs, app-watched exits and stops) | No |
Exchanges limit resting conditional orders (for example 10 per pair on most exchanges; 200 per account on Binance). Hedge stops take priority; the rest are app-watched.
Unknown is not zero
A missing balance, fee, fill or P&L shows as a dash, "pending" or "unresolved", never as 0.
