Manual Bot

Let the app manage trades you open yourself with a DCA ladder, take profit and stop loss.

You open a trade yourself on the exchange. The Manual Bot notices it, takes it over ("picks it up") and manages it like any other deal: a DCA ladder, a take profit, and a stop loss if you switch one on. There is one Manual Bot per market.

Warning. Turning it on is a commitment to every in-scope trade you open from then on, including a quick scalp you meant to close yourself. Narrow the direction and pairs first.

A suggestion, not a default. New forms start blank.

Picked up is not protected

Pickup normally takes about a second, and never more than about 15 seconds. You then get two messages:

  1. "picked up … it is placing the DCA ladder, take profit and stop loss now" (an attempt).
  2. "is now managing …" once the app has read back the orders the exchange accepted.

If no take profit lands within about half a minute, an UNPROTECTED alarm names the cause. Check the exchange.

The take profit and the stop loss rest on the exchange as reduce-only orders where the exchange accepts them. A position below the exchange minimum gets an app-watched exit instead, which only works while the app runs.

Pausing and deleting

Why hasn't it picked up my trade?

Check in this order:

  1. The bot is not created, or is paused (My Bots).
  2. The trade is on a different account or market than the bot.
  3. Your direction or pair scope excludes it. Activity says "Left alone — …".
  4. Another bot already owns that pair, or has an unfinished order on it.
  5. Both sides of the pair are open and neither is tracked. Close one leg.
  6. It is not a perpetual position (spot balance, dated future).
